And one night, likely this summer, at Sammonds’ wedding, I will watch as Dexter dances to it alone, alone in ecstasy, alone in the dark yorkshire moor of his soul, as he realises, like he did to Ned Doheny’s Get It Up For Love as the dawn broke over a Leyton skyline, in 2009, that he actually adores it. Loves it.
Even if this time the kids are there with us and we have to behave ourselves quite a lot, he will love this tune. Mark my words.
I realise I am ploughing quite the loneliest furrow of my life with this tune, and this assertion. But I make it.
